“TEIGNMOUTH GRAND PIER IS A PROPER SEASIDE HIGHLIGHT”

The Pier is iconic and reminds me of family holidays as a young boy over 50 years ago If you are in Devon pop across to Teignmouth and stroll along the pier

“ONE OF THE FEW REMAINING OF BRITAIN'S PIERS"

It's a lovely old pier to visit, it still has all the old rides and attractions that a traditional pier would have, kids still love it and it's a great time killer while at the beach

“GREAT FUN"

Lovely traditional pier with something for all the family, indoor and outdoor attractions, great coastal views and easy access location as well as good ice cream and reasonably priced amusements

WHAT'S ON

ATTRACTIONS & THINGS TO DO IN TEIGNMOUTH.

With a classic crescent of Georgian buildings, Teignmouth is a real hidden gem on the South Devon coast – both an historic port and classic seaside resort. With all the traditional attractions of a coastal holiday destination you won’t need to venture far to find a promenade, Victorian pier, a lido, shops and parks.

There are two distinct sides to Teignmouth – the sea front and the harbour side. It’s this beautiful contrast and the fact that everything is within easy reach that makes the town so special.

HISTORY.

Records of Teignmouth date back to 1044, when the town was originally two separate villages. By the 14th century Teignmouth was a significant port, and as a consequence was subject to various attacks. By the 1800s Teignmouth was becoming fashionable for visitors, and to this day the town remains a functioning harbour, sitting comfortably as a town for tourists as well as trade.

THE GRAND PIER

A great all year family attraction

A GREAT DAY OUT FOR ALL THE FAMILY!

Teignmouth Grand Pier is a great day out for family and friends. There’s something for everyone – from big kids to little ones – it offers you all the traditional attractions and entertainment in the Great British spirit of the seaside.

We offer traditional attractions, amusements, games and gamblers and video games.

We serve Roskilly's Cornish ice cream, Vegan ice cream and even Doggie ice cream. We have freshly ground coffee to drink in or takeaway.

Despite the yearly battering of wind and waves we have reached the grand old age of 157 this year.

Teignmouth's Grand Pier is situated in the middle of a superb level seafront. There's ample free car parking along the promenade, with coach parking on the East Cliff a short, sign-posted walk away.

So what are you waiting for? Come and join us on board our 157-year-old Victorian Grand Pier. We look forward to welcoming you.

Why not stay a while; spend the day here. The South Devon coast is one of the most beautiful areas in Britain and there can be few better places to spend some time than Teignmouth, nor a better place to see it from - the Ness offers a spectacular view for miles around. There's so much more to enjoy than just the promenade; brilliant beach for games and sandcastles and when the tide slips away rock pools teeming with creatures and crustaceans.
